They said they were from American Law associates, and called my girlfriend asking if I was there. I have not lived there for almost a year. He threatened her to tell him where I was.I do not know these people! She has gotten three phone calls in a row from them. Even though she did not give them information! Please help in this! Paula, do not worry about this phone call regarding the threats of being picked up and taken to jail. He is nothing more than a scam artist. I called my local sheriff's dept, bank, court house, and they all said to ignore these calls. Tell "Steven" that you've reported him and the phone number he's calling from, to the authorities. He'll stop calling. He's NOT from the BCI or any other governmental agency. He'll get caught, it's just a matter of time.

Would not tell me why they called

I keep getting this number on my caller ID. They do not leave messages. Annoying, to say the least.

received a message from the same number the man had a very strong accent. i called the number back.the man stated that he was calling from an attorneys office but refused to give the name of the attorney. the man stated that there was a case against me in a California federal court three counts of credit card fraud and that i needed to retain a lawyer. the caller had my name cell number and last four of my social.i advised the man to send me a certified letter. the man hung up on me. i attempted to call the number back , only to be sent to a full mail box.i have been in law enforcement for fifteen years.i am not involved in any case for credit card fraud. this caller is a scam. he stated that his name was Daniel Stevenson. if contacted by him report him.
